The Saints have made the impossible possible by bringing a Super Bowl championship to the great state of Louisiana. Sunday's victory was just a night to remember. Pretty much, years from now.. we'll tell others, "I remember what I did the night the Saints won the Superbowl." Or people will try to recall as much as they could before the buzz started to kick in. The thought is still unreal at times. Twitter was on an overload from the volume of tweets coming through right after Tracy Porter's interception. The only times that I've seen Twitter crash was when the Saints won and when Michael Jackson passed away (R.I.P.). Anyways, we have bragging rights until the start of next season and it's great to have that privilege. We should all celebrate this victory and successful season even when the bandwagon has been heavier than I've ever seen it. Some of you fans might need to get off that bandwagon before next season begins, just kidding =) The Saints have been an inspiration to many. Even though Katrina is behind us, ESPN and other media sources have kept the issue pretty relevant. Turning a city around and the investments people have put into professional sports helps bring a community and even something as large as the Gulf coast region together. They have turned the doubters to believers. One important stat heading into the playoffs was that no team has ever won the super bowl after ending the regular season with three straight losses. The Saints really did "bring the wood."
For me, I try to preach to my teams to finish strong and to keep championships on our mind. It's all up to us, we just have to play smart and focused. My Pandas are nearly undefeated and in sole possession of first place with our best player injured. My Korean team is in first place as well and in position to clinch the first seed of the playoffs this weekend which will send us to the championship game automatically. My team (Fast Shots)in Mobile has a winning record which is a huge step from last year's 2-4 team. It's nice to see the success in others and it's only natural to want the same for yourself and those around you.
After browsing for new music on Lil Wayne's YouTube page, I found a song that seems to be a great sports song in the making. Watch the video and enjoy...
