Best Week So Far?

The Year of the Tiger has been going a week strong and it has been such a turn around with what's been going on for for the past few weeks. Since 2010 started, it feels like I haven't been able to catch a break. However in a previous entry, I said that i just takes one moment or event to turn all the bad luck into good. I know it's only been one good week but maybe it's the start to something great that I'm not even aware of.

Let's recap: Tet officially kicked off and I brought flowers and said a few prayers at my grandparents' grave. Hit up the temple for some more prayers and asked for strength. Later that day, My Korean team clinched 1st place with a victory which automatically puts us in the championship game. Monday is when the fun really started when we won in Mobile, AL against our rival team and sealed a playoff spot for my team there. Got back to BR and decided last minute to head out to Metro and had a great time seeing everyone despite some of the random BS that happened. Wednesday was a nice day because my Pandas clinched a playoff spot as well and we had a nice turn out of supporters to come see us play. Pho night turned out to be better than I expected by seeing my homies. Friday night in Nola was well worth the hype. Got to see the usual crowd when I go out and met Tinman for the first time. I was surprised that he approached me and then even more surprised that he knew who I was. It was just unexpected but the night turned out well from beginning to end. I even found a friend to go see Jay-Z with me finally after searching for over a week. Thank you TuVy =)

After reading this,I'm sure you're just thinking that it seems just like a regular week with the things I did. I mean, nothing spectacular happened. So you are technically right. But to be positive, nothing NEGATIVE happened. That's what makes the week so great. To be able to finally make a positive out of everything is something that was more difficult to do just a few days before. I miss my past and I think about it often, even all night when I was in Nola Friday, but there's no need to dwell on things. I know that I can't have consecutive weeks like this because it's taking a toll on me with all the driving/ going out/ and basketball. It is a start though. As these next few weeks unfold and the countdown to that special day comes close, we'll see how great things will be. No one said this would all be easy, but I think I can handle it. I'm very thankful for everyone and it's truly a blessing to be somewhere I belong.
